After breakfast at the hotel, you depart via private vehicle with the guide to start the tour at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The museum, opened since 1902, exhibits over 120,000 objects in its 107 halls, comprising the world’s greatest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Two grand halls contain countless artifacts and one room reserved for the golden treasures from the world-famous tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamen. After that we are head to Citadel of Saladin which was Built between 1176 and 1183. The Citadel of Saladin stands on the highest point in Cairo, Mokattam Hills, giving it a superb view over the city. Salah Al Din (Saladin) decided to build it here to protect Cairo from any invaders. On the highest point in the citadel, and therefore the highest point in Cairo, stands the Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Built between 1828 and 1848 this mosque is one of the ‘must see’ sites in the Citadel, and in the whole of Cairo. Mohamed Ali built it in memory of his second son, Yusun Pasha, who had died in 1816. Almost a thousand years after its construction, King Thutmose IV placed a stela between the front paws. It describes how the Sphinx had spoken to their prince in a dream, promising him kingship if he cleared away the desert sand that was choking the Sphinx. After breakfast , We start our visits of Luxor by exploring the Valley of the Kings, the necropolis of New Kingdom of ancient Egypt. The Pharaohs of the 18th dynasty till the 20th dynasty wished to protect their tombs against thieves; this was why they dig their tombs deep in the Theban Mountain, called the Theban peak. This includes the wonderful tomb of Tut Ankh Amun, discovered by Howard Carter in 1922. Our next visit will be to the Temple of Hatshepsut; this magnificent mortuary temple was named the Splendid of splendids. It was constructed by the first Queen to rule over Egypt in the 15th century BC. Afterwards, many sections of the temple were destroyed by Ramses II and many of his successors. During the Coptic period of Egypt, the temple was transformed into a monastery, titled El Deir El Bahary. Our next stop will be to the giant Colossi of Memnon; these two statues are the only remaining items of the mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III that was constructed in the 14th century BC. Standing about 20 meters high, these two statues were named the Colossi of Memnon during the Roman period when one of the statues used to making a humming sound.Back to east bank to visit the Karnak Temple, the largest and the most important Pharaonic temple in the whole world. Established in the New Kingdom, the Temple or the complex of temples of Karnak was constructed over around 1300 years. Every king and Pharaoh of Egypt wanted to have his addition in the Karnak. After breakfast, we start our trip to visit Dendera Temple : Forty Seven miles (75 kilometers) to the northeast of Luxor lies one of the best-preserved temple complexes in the whole of Egypt. The complex of Dendera Temple is 47,839 square yards (40,000 square meters), or 9 acres, in size, bordered by an immense mud brick enclosure wall. It was the site of many temples and shrines since Pre-Dynastic times, Pepi I built here in the 6th Dynasty and it is also known that an 18th Dynasty temple once stood here. However, the earliest building still standing there today is the Mammisi (a small chapel that is attached to a larger temple, and is associated with the birth of a god) of Nektanebo II; who was the last pharaoh of the 30th Dynasty and the last native ruler of Ancient Egypt.
