Tour Itinerary |
Day 01: Cairo |

Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel in Cairo in Cairo |
|
Day 02: Cairo |

After breakfast , we pick you up with private guide and car to start Full day tour visiting the three Pyramids of Giza, valley of the temple, sphinx and Sakkara. The pyramids were built for the Pharaohs Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. They were constructed about 2500 B.C. with limestone blocks from the plateau and the Turah hills on the outskirts of Cairo. The Great Pyramid of Cheops alone, the only present-day survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, required over 2,300,000 blocks of stone, each weighing about 2.5 tons. At its base, it covers 13 acres of land.
You’ll also tour the Valley Temple, housing the mysterious Sphinx, located in what was once a quarry to the east of Chephren’s pyramid. One theory suggests this Pharaoh's workers shaped the body into a lion and gave it their king’s face, as a guardian of the necropolis. Almost a thousand years after its construction, King Thutmose IV placed a stela between the front paws. It describes how the Sphinx had spoken to their prince in a dream, promising him kingship if he cleared away the desert sand that was choking the Sphinx.
The Sakkara step Pyramids. Intended to hold his mummified body, Pharaoh Djoser's Step Pyramid at Saqqara began as a traditional, flat-roofed mastaba. But by the end of his 19-year reign, in 2611 B.C., it had risen to six stepped layers and stood 204 feet (62 meters) high. It was the largest building of its time.
Extensive use of stone—here and there carved to resemble wood, reeds, or other softer materials—made the tomb more durable than its mud-brick forebears. Such pioneering techniques led many ancient historians to credit the chief architect, Imnhotep, with inventing stone architecture

Day 03: Cairo |

Board the bus headed to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The Museum, open since 1902, exhibits over 120,000 objects in its 107 halls, comprising the world’s greatest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Two grand halls containing countless artifacts and one room reserved for the golden treasures from the world-famous tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamen will astound and delight you.
You’ll then proceed to the fascinating Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, reputedly the largest bazaar in the Middle East.As you wander through the labyrinth of narrow streets you will find workshops and stalls selling all manner of craftsmanship from woodwork, glassware, gold work and leather goods to perfumes, fabrics and Pharaonic curiosities. Finally, you'll visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din and the Mohammed Ali Mosque. Inside its walls are an imposing sight, the fortress itself dating back to 1176 ,the mosque being a fairly recent addition, however, dating from 1830. The Mosque is an intentional, smaller, version of the famed Blue Mosque in Istanbul. An amusing oddity is the clock in the courtyard, a gift from Louis-Philippe of France in 1846 in a tardy exchange for the obelisk of Ramses II from Luxor, which has stood in the Place de la Concorde in Paris since about 1831. Don’t forget to bring your scarf with you.

The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Nubian Monuments,"[1] which run from Abu Simbel downriver to Philae (near Aswan).
The twin temples were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC, as a lasting monument to himself and his queen Nefertari, to commemorate his alleged victory at the Battle of Kadesh, and to intimidate his Nubian neighbors. However, the complex was relocated in its entirety in 1968, on an artificial hill made from a domed structure, high above the Dam reservoir. The relocation of the temples was necessary to avoid their being submerged during the creation of Lake Nasser, the massive artificial water reservoir formed after the building of the Aswan High Dam on the Nile River. Abu Simbel remains one of Egypt's top tourist attractions
