Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Cairo

Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel in Cairo in Cairo

Day 02: Cairo

After breakfast, Pick up by car and guide , start tour the Pyramids of Giza, where you’ll embark on an unforgettable tour of the pyramids built for the Pharaohs Cheops, Chefren, and Mycerinus.  They were constructed about 2500 B.C. with limestone blocks from the plateau and the Turah hills on the outskirts of Cairo. The Great Pyramid of Cheops alone, the only present-day survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, required over 2,300,000 blocks of stone, each weighing about 2.5 tons. At its base, it covers 13 acres of land. You’ll also tour the Valley Temple, housing the mysterious Sphinx, located in what was once a quarry to the east of Chephren’s pyramid. One theory suggests this Pharaoh's workers shaped the body into a lion and gave it their king’s face, as a guardian of the necropolis. Almost a thousand years after its construction, King Thutmose IV placed a stela between the front paws. It describes how the Sphinx had spoken to their prince in a dream, promising him kingship if he cleared away the desert sand that was choking the Sphinx.   After visit we are heading with our private guide and car to visit Memphis and Step Pyramids of Sakkara

You will have a short visit (with time to shop) at a local Papyrus Factory to see how the paper is made before heading back to hotel to relax and refresh.

Day 03: Cairo

After breakfast at the hotel, board your car heading to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The Museum, open since 1902, exhibits over 120,000 objects in its 107 halls, comprising the world’s greatest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Two grand halls containing countless artifacts and one room reserved for the golden treasures from the world-famous tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamen will astound and delight you. You’ll then proceed to the fascinating Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, reputedly the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Finally, you'll visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din and the Mohammed Ali Mosque. Inside its walls are an imposing sight, the fortress itself dating back to 1176, the mosque being a fairly recent addition, however, dating from 1830. The Mosque is an intentional, smaller, version of the famed Blue Mosque in Istanbul. An amusing oddity is the clock in the courtyard, a gift from Louis-Philippe of France in 1846 in a tardy exchange for the obelisk of Ramses II from Luxor, which has stood in the Place de la Concorde in Paris since about 1831.

Day 04: Cairo

After breakfast,  picky up by Guide and car to visit Old Cairo, Egypt was one of the first countries to adopt Christianity, and it was the Roman Emperor Trajan who built the fortress between A.D. 98 and 117. Over time it became a Christian and Jewish enclave. Today the area within the walls of the old fortress is controlled by the Egyptian Antiquities Organization, which has done much to preserve and maintain its treasures.

Compared to central Cairo, Old Cairo is traditional and conservative. Its Coptic churches and shady cobblestone streets offer a haven of peace and calm. Within Old Cairo stand three houses of worship that shouldn’t be missed: the Church of St. Sergius (Abu Sarga), the El Muallaqa (the Hanging Church), and Ben Ezra Synagogue.

St. Sergius, one of the oldest churches in Egypt, was built in the fifth century and restored 700 years later. It was in a cave in the church basement that Mary, Joseph, and the infant Jesus found refuge while fleeing Herod. Throughout the church are carved wooden panels of the Nativity and the Last Supper and paintings of saints and the apostles.

Al Muallaqa, the Hanging Church, is one of the city’s loveliest. Originally built over the remains of a Roman gatehouse, the church (its true name is Sitt Miriam) was dedicated to the Virgin Mary. One portion of it is said to date from the fourth century. Near the entrance is a beautiful 10th-century icon of the Virgin and Child, Egyptian faces, and Byzantine crowns. Many legends surround the site where Ben Ezra Synagogue now stands. It was built in the fourth century as a Christian church. The prophet Jeremiah is said to have preached here in the sixth century B.C.At the synagogue’s spring the pharaoh’s daughter found Moses in the bulrushes. Though the synagogue no longer has a rabbi, it continues to be used by the small number of Jewish families living in the area. Visit Ibn Tulun mosque which was the third congregational mosque to be built in what is now greater Cairo, and at approximately 26,318 square meters in size, is the third largest mosque in the world.

Possibility for optional late lunch at the Cairo Tower in the restaurant at the top of the tower with the wonderful view over Cairo City. Also there a possibility to book optionally sound and light show at the food of the great Pyramids to attend a very nice performance telling you stories about the secret of the Pyramids

Day 05: Luxor

Pick up by car to transfer to Cairo airport to travel to Luxor. Arrive at Luxor airport and start your sightseeing tour, visit to the East bank side of Luxor with the guide to the exquisite Temple of Luxor and Temple of Karnak to marvel at its obelisks and rows of ancient columns that adorn its awesome Great Hypostyle Hall—a monument that recalls the classic elegance of ancient Greece, yet is older (Karnak was built over a period of 1,000 years!). It covers an area larger than the whole of Paris’s Notre Dame Cathedral. Transfer to your hotel

Day 06: Luxor

Pick up by car and guide to start your tour visiting the West Bank of Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings, a vast City of the Dead where magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rocks, richly decorated, and filled with treasures for the afterlife by generations of pharaohs. Rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Ancient Egypt’s only female Pharaoh, merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it, as if nature herself had built this extraordinary monument. You’ll also stop for a photo at the giant statues of the Colossi of Memnon.

We will then set sail for our private island "El Fouza" where we will disembark for dinner served to you on the edge of the Nile.

Day 09: Gebel El Silsila

The temple building is totally symmetrical with two entrance's two halls and two sanctuaries dedicated to the Falcon God Haroeris (Horus the Elder) and the Crocodile God Sobek. Lunch will be served as we head for a small island where we will moor for the evening and enjoy dinner at this atmospheric location.

Day 11: Kom Ombo / Aswan

In the evening you will have lots of time to prepare for our EGYPTIAN EVENING OF FUN, with Egyptian cuisine, Arabic Music. Dress in your bespoke Gallabeyah .

Day 12: Aswan

We say good bye to the boat and the crew ,  we Pick you  up in the morning ,  heading to Abu Simbel Temple( optional ) : Abu Simbel temples refers to two massive rock temples in Abu Simbel (أبو سمبل in Arabic) in Nubia, southern Egypt on the western bank of Lake Nasser about 230 km southwest of Aswan (about 300 km by road). The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Nubian Monuments,"[1] which run from Abu Simbel downriver to Philae (near Aswan).

The twin temples were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC, as a lasting monument to himself and his queen Nefertari, to commemorate his alleged victory at the Battle of Kadesh, and to intimidate his Nubian neighbors. However, the complex was relocated in its entirety in 1968, on an artificial hill made from a domed structure, high above the Dam reservoir. The relocation of the temples was necessary to avoid their being submerged during the creation of Lake Nasser, the massive artificial water reservoir formed after the building of the Aswan High Dam on the Nile River. Abu Simbel remains one of Egypt's top tourist attractions
