Tour Itinerary |
Day 1: CAIRO / WADI RAYAN |
 Leave Cairo on the road to Fayoum, and take the desert track heading west towards Kasr El Sagha, a charming small temple clinging to the side of Gebel Qatrani range and dating back to the Middle Kingdom. Head south towards the remains of the Ptolemic city of Dimeh Es Siba (Soknopaiou Nesosos ). Picnic lunch on route . Later, continue to the lakes and waterfall of Wadi Rayan for dinner and overnight camp.

Day 2: WADI RAYAN / BAHARIYA |
 After breakfast and a short exploratory tour of the area of Wadi Rayan, continue south west before your stop for lunch . Your journey after lunch is through desolate and dramatic desert scenery, before rejoining the surfaced highway to Bahariya. On arrival, relax and wash off thedesert dust in the soothing waters of one of the hot springs. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 3: BAHARIYA / GHARD ABU MUHARIQ |
 Leave the depression of Bahariya and climb to the high plateau heading south east towards the Ghard Abu Muhariq, Egypt's longest chain of dooms. Dinner and overnight camp.

Day 4: GHARD ABU MUHARIQ / DAKHLA OASIS |
 Your route today takes you away from the soft sand of Ghard Abu Muhariq to the lush greenery of the Dakhla Oasis, with lunch on route. Visit El Qasr, the old capital of the Oasis, with its picturesque ancient Islamic buildings. Continue to Mut, the modern capital of Dakhla for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 5: DAKHLA OASIS / BALAT / BASHANDI / AIN AMUR |
 Today visit the main attractions of Dakhla, including the quaint villages of Balat and Bashandi, built on an ancient pharaonic city. Continue through the desert to the well of Ain Amur. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 6: AIN AMUR / AIN UM DABADIB / KHARGA OASIS |
 Heading west, you proceed to Ain Um Dabadib, with its very impressive Roman ruins and aqueduct. After a leisurely visit to the site, continue to Kharga, Egypt's largest Oasis. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 7: KHARGA OASIS / CAIRO |
 After breakfast, visit the small ptolemaic temple of Hibis and the necropolis of El Bagawat , before starting the journey back to Cairo on the surfaced road, via Assiut with lunch on route . Arrival in Cairo is foreseen in the late afternoon.
