Option 1: CAIRO/ ABU SIR / DAHSHUR / MEDIUM LAKE QARUN / CAIRO Drive along the Maryoutteya Canal to Abu Sir, where you will have a short stop. Proceed through the desert to Dahshur to see the Red Pyramid and the Rhomboidal Pyramid. rejoin the surfaced road and continue to the Pyramid of Medium. From there, on to the Pyramid of Hawara and later to Lake Qarun in the Fayoum. Stop for lunch and a rest at the Auberge before driving back to Cairo.

Option 2: CAIRO/ KASR EL SAGHA / DIMEH / WADI EL RAYAN / CAIRO Leave Cairo and follow the main highway in the direction of Fayoum. later, take the desert track and head west towards Kasr El sagha, a charming small temple clinging to the side of Gebel Qatrani range and dating back to the Middle Kingdom. continue south towards the remains of the Ptolemic city of Dimeh Es Siba ( Soknopaiou Nesos ) before rejoining the main road to Fayoum and Lake Qarun. Continue to the lakes and waterfall of Wadi Rayan for lunch and a rest before returning to Cairo.

Option 3: CAIRO / DAHSHUR / DIMEH / LAKE QARUN / CAIRO Drive through the desert to Dahshur to see the Red Pyramid and the Rhomboidal Pyramid. Continue Southwest on the desert track towards the remains of the Ptolemic city of Dimeh Es Siba ( Sokonopaiou Nesos ). Later, rejoin the main road to Fayoum and Lake Qarun for lunch and a rest before your return journey to Cairo.
